Addiction/Licensed Counselor
The candidate must be able to work day and evening hours with some flexibility. Candidates shall be able to perform substance abuse biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, case management, and communication via phone/writing with referral sources. In addition, the addiction counselor will provide group, family, and individual counseling services to the assigned clients.
Timely documentation of services is imperative and must adhere to regulations and New Jersey state laws. The counselor will work as a part of a professional team who uses a team approach to manage client’s progress in treatment. Clinical supervision is provided to counselors who are interested to earn a higher credential such as LPC, LCSW, LCADC.
A strong understanding of MS Office software, electronic medical records applications, and general computer literacy is required. The chosen candidate must possess professional credentials in the field of mental health and/or substance abuse treatment, such as LAC, LSW, LCSW, LPC, LFMT, and LCADC in the State of New Jersey.
CADC certificate holders and/or CADC candidates who possess a Bachelor’s Degree will also qualify. Clinical supervision will be provided to obtain the certification or licenses previously mentioned. The candidate must be able to work and learn in very fast paced environment.

A valid driver’s license is required, and all candidates must be reliable and free from previous child abuse offenses.
