Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • At least one year’s experience working in health services
  • Experience with underserved populations preferred

Required skills:

  • Ability to route patient’s problems and concerns to appropriate sources
  • Ability to stay within boundaries of the role and function of position
  • Excellent writing skills and record-keeping skills
  • Excellent communication critical thinking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent ability to work with a diverse population of clients with substance abuse, co-occurring, and/or mental health disorders
  • Ability to evaluate and comprehend techniques, procedures, and changes to meet variable situations and communicate with supervisors and directors to improve agency culture and policies

Responsibilities: 

  • Collect specimen for Urinary Analysis and assist in the completion of client intake and consents
  • Monitors vital signs when working directly with clients and ensures all results are documented in ECR.
  • Schedules  appointments for prescribers and intakes and completes randomized room searches.
  • Displays a competent knowledge of Agency policy and procedures as well as Federal and State Regulations. Keeps current with available resources.
  • Encourages staff/clients while demonstrating self-initiative in problem-solving.
  • Assist in the development of data collection and analysis of the quality improvement projects.
  • Maintains confidentiality, proper boundaries, and an ethical relationship with clients and co-workers accordingly to Company’s policies and as their Delaware Professional Board regulations.
  • Ensures all client records are maintained according to agency standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring client’s file documentation and other reports are up to date.
  • Engages in professional development. Completes seminars and/or continuing education programs, as appropriate to update knowledge about addiction and mental health services.
  • Acts as liaison with outside agencies and transports clients to scheduled appointments within or outside the agency. 
  • Prepares and submits routine and special reports, inclusive of accurate data, payroll, etc., to supervisor via computer within specified time frames.
  • Participates in the development of quality improvement activities designed to enhance agency and program services and completes required annual educational program
  • Engages in professional development. Responsible for keeping current in the field by attending formal and agency training.

Physical Demands

Individuals must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job: Sitting at a table or desk, reaching, lifting, bending, standing, stooping, twisting, climbing steps, and driving a vehicle.
